Viviana has more than 10 years experience across public and private hospitals, as well as local government Maternal and Child Health (MCH) services, with a focus on mental health and supporting people through periods of change. Alongside her background as a registered nurse, she is a registered psychologist, bringing a broad understanding of mental health, wellbeing and life transitions.
Viviana supports women experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress and overwhelm, as well as adjustment to parenthood and parenting challenges. Her approach is warm, down-to-earth and collaborative. She draws on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness and compassion-focused strategies, tailoring therapy to each individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
